Individual Counseling

I understand that deciding to start counseling is a significant step, and it often involves a lot of trust and vulnerability. Feelings of discomfort and even resistance can come up at the thought of starting therapy. My main goal is to create an environment where you’re comfortable taking up space to share your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Effective therapy is deeply personal, so I’m committed to tailoring our work to fit your unique needs and goals. Building a strong, trusting relationship is essential, and I’m here to earn that trust and work collaboratively with you. I want to ensure that you feel heard, valued, and understood and that our approach aligns with what’s most meaningful to you. It would be a true privilege to accompany you on this journey and support you in the way that’s best for you.

Adolescent Counseling

My goal is to help young people navigate the unique challenges of early development through a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques like Play Therapy & Trauma-Focused CBT. Whether it’s dealing with academic stress, peer pressure, family conflicts, or mental health experiences of anxiety and depression, I work closely with each individual to explore their strengths, build coping skills, and foster resilience.

A key part of my approach is to holistically support young people in gaining independence in healthy and constructive ways. I’m passionate about empowering my clients to recognize their inner strengths, boost their self-esteem, and build positive relationships. I aim to offer the support and guidance they need to thrive and reach their full potential during this developmentally intense time in their lives.

Couples Counseling

Building a committed relationship requires nurturing, and keeping that connection strong takes skill and continual effort. When the chaos of life takes over, it’s easy to fall into comfortable yet unhelpful patterns. Together, we can explore the “how did we get here?” questions and embrace the vulnerability required to truly see ourselves and our partners. In couples counseling, I offer a supportive and collaborative space using approaches like the Gottman Method and Attachment-Based Therapy to help you navigate your relationship with understanding and practical tools.

Understanding your attachment style, expectations, and relationship patterns can make a significant difference. By recognizing how these dynamics play out, you can start to see where changes might be needed to make room for the new.

Family Counseling

Creating a harmonious family dynamic requires ongoing effort and a willingness to understand one another. Life’s challenges can often lead families into familiar, yet unhelpful, patterns of interaction. In our family counseling sessions, we will explore the underlying dynamics that shape your relationships and discover new pathways for connection.

Using Family Systems Theory, we’ll examine how each member contributes to the family unit and how these interactions can be transformed. Additionally, I incorporate Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to enhance the bond between parents and children through effective communication and positive reinforcement strategies.

Together, we’ll foster an environment where every family member feels valued and heard, empowering your family to navigate challenges and build lasting connections. Let’s embark on this journey toward a healthier, more supportive family life.
